Last year on the Bubble Trailer Light Tour, we took a little jaunt up toward Vermont to visit our fellow Lumix Ambassador, Ben Grunnow. It was certainly a little way out of the direction we were heading, but we so wanted to 1) see the fall colors of Vermont and 2) see his beautiful cabin…
Recently I had a fun assignment with Panasonic Lumix to illustrate how I use the Lumix 8-18mm wide angle lens. Oh Yay—it was the perfect one for me because I’m such a “wide-angle girl” with my travel photography! Not with portraits of course, but when it comes to the landscape, it’s gotta be wide; most…
I recently did a video project with Master Photographer, Joey Ikemoto, promoting him and his studio. The goal was to show him in action with clients, posing, laughing, lighting and the whole process of the photo shoot. We had a marvelous session with three teens, Mia, Madison and Madelane who had modeled for him many…
Well, the day is finally here…. And it’s Perfect! The new Full Frame #LUMIXS5 was released to the public and I can’t be more delighted! I’ve had the immense pleasure of shooting with it for a couple weeks and, oh my, it’s great to have the quality and clarity and depth of field of the…
So many times I see cool souvenirs when I travel and I just want to get them to remind me of the trip– magnets, mugs, wall hangings, small art pieces. But since I live in a tiny house (only 756 sq ft) and I travel a LOT, its just not practical to bring home more…
One of my favorite quotes, which is by St. Francis of Assisi, is, “Go to all the world and preach the gospel. And if necessary, use words.” That says so much, because if we LOVE with our actions and our life, then it’s real. People believe it. We can talk about things, or TELL people…
Freedom is a hot topic these days….freedom of speech, freedom from control, freedom to BE who we want to be. (and we won’t get any more political than that!) But when we think about our art, we need to remember we have freedom to express ourselves however we want. In huge, loose strokes, or in…
CELEBRATING FRIENDSHIP! Well it turns out that Today is International Friendship Day! How could possibly pass on an opportunity to celebrate my friends?? And what are the odds that it lands on a Theme Thursday? Well, that looks like a recipe for a fun blog to me! Many of you know what a selfie-junkie I am. Not…
What sparked this blog for “Whatever Wednesday” is the IN PROGRESS projects I’ve got going, just waiting “for the sale”…. And I’m stoked that Bay Photo has their Bay Books on sale 30% off till Thursday! I’ve been waiting for this and I’m just about ready! But that’s what we should ALL be doing (and me too, on a…
I’m hoping to regularly share some of our travels each Tuesday on Travel Tuesdays, AKA BT Tuesdays, when we were on the Bubble Trailer Light Tour! Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and I dearly miss it, now that we are sheltering in place the past four months! So, as my fellow Lumix Ambassador, Dave Stock, says:…
