Engagement Love Stories

One of my favorite kinds of sessions to photograph is engagements! Of course, as a “hopeless romantic”, I totally dig capturing the magic of a couple in love! I typically try to choose a location that is special to them or perhaps doing something they love to do together. I had the immense honor of photographing my 2nd cousin, Alison and her fiancé, Santino in Temecula last year. They were planning to get married in 2020, but because of Covid, they rescheduled to 2021! I’m very excited about getting to photograph their wedding too!

Often there are so many great images and so much variety it is hard to just choose a couple of images to print. So, I usually suggest an album, which is the perfect way to tell the story, show the different vibes and locations and maximize on the variety we can capture in a Love Story session! In fact, I typically shoot for the story (planning an album in my mind) with a variety of poses and scenes! (wide, close, med)

This album was printed at Bay Photo, and is a Sunrise album, which has rigid pages, but thin and elegant. Of course, I wanted to use the image they chose for their Save the Date card on the front, so they have a permanent record of it!

I love the quality of the album, the rich color and texture and look forward to the joy of them sharing it with their guests at the wedding! Mostly I love the way they connected and interacted during the session- allowing me to capture the magic between them. I could see such a rare connection … the kind that that keeps a couple in love for years!
