#WeAreHere Cha*Cha*Cha!

I used to have a pin I wore in my 20’s that said “You are here -X- and this is the highlight of your day!”  It may have been a bit egotistical at the time, but it’s more like my purpose in life now… #bringthelight! 😋🤩

I must confess I’m am an incurable optimist, and I call myself a “hope-full photomaniac” because I love photography as much as I believe in Hope!

And as goofy or unrealistic as it seems, I’m willing to go after the images I dream of… like the ones I envisioned for our Bubble Trailer Tour!

One thing I’ve learned on this journey is if you want to do something bad enough, you will make the effort, be prepared and then it actually will happen! If you are passive about it, and just hope it happens, or just think about it but don’t really make the effort to be sure that it happens, the odds are pretty much null.

Two of my “goals” were to get an image of Ms Bubble Trailer from Hoboken shore with the New York City Skyline in the background, and then to get a shot of Ms Bubble Trailer WITH the southernmost point landmark! Well, THAT one is a total long-shot! If you have ever been there, you know it is a constant stream of cars going around that corner and people standing in line trying to do a photograph! It is a total photo frenzy!
But it worked out really well that sunrise was at 7:22 and we wanted to capture the sunrise from our campsite and we also need to get back to Islamorada by noon to have lunch with our friends! I’m pretty much willing to do anything for a photo, but Johnny, not so much, (especially if it involves early morning). But with the timeline, we planned to get up before sunrise, shoot the sunrise, hit the road, photograph in the morning light from Key West and then head north to Islamorada which is a two hour drive back towards the mainland from Key West. Well, getting to the Southernmost Point just after the sun came up was a brilliant plan because there was hardly anybody there and we could drive the trailer up to the corner -pose there for a second-get a couple pictures-and there you have it — a modern-day-miracle! Haha
This literally happened! O happy day!

Sometimes it’s the little things that make you feel that victorious spark inside!

Moral of the story: be willing to Be the Champion of your idea, your story, and your victory! No one else may care, or be willing to make the effort or take the time or be inconvenienced, BUT we can be the author of our own story IF we accept the responsibility!
